Heat gun might work well. It is sealled with a heavy caulk/sealer/putty. I used white silicone caulk to reassemble the halves. You can try to get a broken unit or pitted lens unit here (I might have one, depends on type) or from Europe. There are two types, the H4 and the H1/H1 and left and right differ obviously. Write:
