wireharness 87 740 turbo 700

I have'nt heard back from Dave since my second attempt to reach him but I did what He told me to thus far, here it is:

Hi Rich,
Assuming the car ran before you started the harness swap, somewhere
along
the line either a connector is not getting full current or two
connectors
are swapped (it happens). The way to trouble shoot this is to pull a
connector and pry up the rubber boot. Check that the wire colors match
the
diagram I sent and also check that they are in the correct order. You
will
need to go through the connections and double check that they are
solidly
connected. Also you may need to pull connectors off and check that the
small metal prong inside hasn't fallen inside. Also on the 8-pin gray
connectors, check those connections too to see if both are solidly
connected
and to make sure there isn't a pin that has backed out.

Non-harness related... does the fuel pump run when the engine cranks?
Dave
