Neutral Safety Switch and Leather Seats 200

The brake interlock switch was not fitted until 1991. This required you to step on the brake to move the shifter from Park.

It's for stupid people who can't control their cars or their lawsuits. Stemmed from the Audi "unintended acceleration" bogus lawsuits, but changed a federal requirement for the whole auto industry.

Your car's only shift interlock is the button on top, and that's the way I prefer them. The solenoid in the shifters fail regularly on 1991-up cars, locking them into Park.

As for seats, any seats you find from a 75-93 240 sedan will bolt right in. Look for a junked GL or Turbo model to find leather. If you can find a 90-up GL interior, they're quite nice. Rare though.
