122 heater hoses 120-130

I put a B20 into a 67 122s, and now I am hooking up the heater again. Problem is I didn't write down what hoses go where. Now you'd thing it be easy with the hose "memory" and such, but I'm not doing so well. The first time, The engine almost over heated. I think I might have it right now, but is there anyone with a definite answer? The line from the Water pump is currently going to the top inlet on the fire wall. The bottom outlet from the fire wall is goin to the top inlet on the heater core. the bottom outlet of the heater core is going to an inlet on the back of the block. Does this sound right? The car isn't over heating, but I doesn't seem to matter if I have the heat lever on cold or hot...it's just hot. Maybe I have a faulty valve...If I know the plumbing is right, but if it is, I'll tackle the rest with confidence.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give.
