Poor Fuel Economy 1980 240 GL 200

I have not had this car long, and seem to get beteen 18-19mpg. This seems odd because I was sure I would get around 24-26mpg. All fluids, spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter have all been changed. I was thinking the o2 sensor could be a factor, and have that on order. Anything else I should look at. The car has only 58000 miles on it, and runs well with a slight missing at times, but accellerates(SP) well no stalling. I have run premium through two tanks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
