has anybody heard of this 700

Hello. I was talking to my friend who is a mechanic and he mentioned that the Jasper company buys used engines and transmissions even if they are already no good, they will rebuild them. He said that they would give him $200 for a tranny out of an old ford bronco and probably more for a volvo. Being that there is a junkyard half an hour from my house that sells transmissions for 50 bucks (you have to pull it yourself)it sounds tempting to go up there on my day off, pull 5 trannys and "cash them in" so to speak. To me though, it just sounds too good to be true. I guess I was wondering if anybody else ever heard of this from the jasper company or any other company for that matter. Thanks for imput.
