Ok,

Pre-amble - sorry guys and gals, I'm just looking for opinions on this, as I really stink at the dealer/cutomer thing....

I just got back from looking at this 89 740 http://www.trader.ca/Search/Details.asp?mknm=772&Region=&subcategory=&CAT=1
89 744 GL (8 valve) - 230,000 kms A/C (working), auto, new tires (weird brand).

Ok - it is solid, the guy has the former owner's receipts for the last 15 years!

But - this dude is a royal pain in the butt - I drove 45 minutes to see it on a Sunday. Then after I had inspected it thoroughly the dude would not let me drive it! They guy said that I had to say I'd buy it first. I also could not take it to my mechanic, my mechanic had to come there - that seems a little reasonable, as the guy is a one man show.

I'm a pretty easily pushed over person - so as soon as this started, I said I need to consult the wife (and I always do).

Do I just need to push back harder on the guy, or is my gut feeling that something is fishy right?
