well, as previously stated, the 740 is not 16 valve, it has 2 gas leaks...the low miles 240 that sounded reallly nice wasn't, the guy lied, it had 164K not 115K, it was repainted, missing molding, rusted like all get out in the rockers, etc. the other 240 was seriouly creamed, it has a nice gas leak, but the pedal pressure for the brake was bad, and it kept stalling... so the final decision? the guy came down on the price of the 740, so I'm going to pick that up tonight. I'm happy, its the second $200 Volvo I've purchased, and I've only purchased 2! So, I'm sure I'll have questions on here about that...
