How do you trust your brick for long distance trip

I drove my '91 745 which is Regina like yours to Denver and back in July, 1000 miles each way. No worries, but I did buy bring a box of spares just in case; relays, belts, hoses. I didn't need any of them, but will need most of them eventually anyway.

Haven't seen many (any really) posts of map sensor failures, but I did recently get a spare one at the pick-n-pull anyway.
