Bent Front Seat Backs 200 1988

I'm the second owner of my 240. At 220K miles the front seats, especially driver's side, has seen a lot of use.

This weekend I swapped the seats successfully resulting in a nicer ride for me, but I'm wondering about the seat backs. Both are bent back toward the center, now leaning back toward the doors after the swap.

Has anyone ever removed the seatback foam and straightened the frame?

When we bought the car, the PO mentioned that the seats were bent from leaning back to help their kids. With 3 small kids of my own I can see that happening. Now I just want to straighten them if possible.

Thanks,

Mike
