play in stick shift.... 200

under acceleration of any kind, or when traveling over rough roads, I notice up to a few inches of travel with the stick shift... I've got an '85 240gl wagon...

I've replaced both motor mounts and the only transmission mount I know of... is this much travel normal?

Much thanks for any help!!
