240 stalls when decelerating 200 1987

My 1987 240GL stalls when decelerating. Will restart after 5 minutes & then runs OK. The following have been done but no success so far
1. In-tank fuel pump & filter replaced
2. In-line fuel filter replaced
3. Resoldered connections on fuel pump relay
4. checked for leaks in all hoses below air mass meter (AMM)
5. Tried to restart with AMM disconnected but would not restart, thus hopefully eliminating AMM as the problem
6. Cleaned throttle body

getting desperate so any suggestions welcome
