1987 240 DL Radio antenna

Does anyone know how to fix the radio antenna? Somebody in my neighborhood (NYC) bent and broke it off and now I only have a little piece of the antenna left. I took it apart at the base but found that it was all one solid piece (hopefully you 240 owners know what I'm talking about) If anyone knows how to replace this type of antenna, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
