Rough idle when warm &hesitation ,sputtering & kicking while driving. 900

1994 - 960 142,000kms/ 85,000 miles. -new spark plugs,trans. service 1,kms ago.
I went back to the Volvo Dealer a month ago hah hah ? what a dealer, and was told to spend 9 bills before tax , change small vacuum fitting and hose not in stock and all the plugs ,wires, and coils plus the timing belt also not in stock. I looked at him and laughed. I was told the boots on the coils were worn and can't be replaced seperatly without the coil. Okay I admit there is a small slit in the vacum line and haven't repaired it yet.The car starts fine and runs somewhat good til warm. The car then has a rough idle. It sits at a stop and kind of kicks and sputters. The car hestitates getting off the line also sputtering getting up to speed. Sometimes I'll step on the gas pedal and it will not react, driving along gradully getting up to speed and the all of a sudden full power just kicks in. When driving along the highway it seems to be fine again until just even slightly depressing the gas and it feels like its jerking back and forth. Any ideas while I start with the vacuum hose.
Thanks Dieter.
