Airbag-Dealer service limits. 700

So a friend of mine was in an accident and got me thinking-does my airbag work? I have a 1990 Volvo 740 Turbo sedan and love it--but I think the airbag quit on me. The test light NEVER comes on, not before i start the car, not after i start it, never. So I'm wondering-does the dealer still do that free check/replacement service for the car that's outlined on the armrest? If anyone knows anything about this whole situation, I'd appreciate some feedback. I just don't want to get into an accident (god forbid) and not have an airbag to use. Also, for those wondering, the car has never been in an accident, and there seems no signs of foul play.
