D'Jet control 1800

Tried to post this earlier today, but it doesn't show, so I must have messed up

Short version: '73 ES still with D-Jet and a modified B20E, car not reassembled or running yet...

The injection control box was modified ( I am told by previous owner) By IPD with two terminals to wire a pot to somehow make it work with a big bore/cammed/modified engine. IPD says the no longer have any info on this deal

How does it work? Fuel pressure, injector firing time, or what? How do I actually set it without O2 or exhaust temp sensing? Does it work well enough? Would MegaSquirt or even a Weber work better?

Thanks!
