Dewfpo---oil separator question S90-V90

Now you've got me questioning what I did. I know I'm getting older and dyslexia is definitely setting in but I tried to put everything back the way I installed it. The green book was of not help in orienting the seals. Perhaps your right, maybe the flat side of the upper green seal went against the block.

As far as the lower seal went, I asked a Volvo mechanic twice how it went on. Each time he said just the opposite, so I went wit the flanged edge against the box because it didn't look like there was enough room against the block for the seal to seat all the way (due to ribbing).

I had(still have) the intake off to replace the intake gasket. I was trying to slip the gasket out without actually removing the intakes, but the gasket self-destructed into many small pieces and I was concerned about gasket material falling into the intake ports and the manifold itself so I pulled the full monty. What a pain in tha *rse.
