HELP- 760 turbo light relay gets hot 700

My '84 760 ti has a problem in which the lighting relay/central locking system relay overheats when the lights are on. I replaced the relay but it still gets hot. I pulled the relay panel up enough so that I could see the connections. One is pretty melted ( the big red one that hooks to terminal 30 on the relay). I'm going to repair this to see if it fixes the problem.
