Ongoing Saga - 87 245 cold weather no start......home on the hook......again !! 200

Well - the good news - we are on a first name basis with the local AMA tow truck driver.........

Bad news - the 87 245 (500k kms) is still unreliable - quits after cooling down in this wintery weather (-15c). If it is plugged in for a couple hours - then it usually starts.

NEW INFO

Another wierd thing - it stalled last week and it would not fire.

I connected the battery charger (10 amp), and thought, "what the heck - one more try." The charger had not been on more than 30 seconds and the motor fired over hot, on all cylinders.

This leads me to think there must be a electrical/electronic problem that was "stimulated" by the charger.......

Thanks for all and any help in advance
