rpm gauge 900

my RPM gauge is not working correct. 1993 940 with about 193,000 miles on her. I removed the gauge cluster and did not see any bad solder connection, I have had to repair a couple of realys with advice from fellow brick board members. but this RPM gauge is trickey.

it will not work in the morning or when the car is cold, if you drive it for a while some times the gauge will work fin other times it is all over the place. if you get out run into a store then come back it will most of the time work correct.

any ideas?

thanks in advanced
Ed
