wire caught in steering column 700 1991

Thank you to JohnB and Aye Roll. The solutions you posted seemed daunting to me. I spent another 20 minutes trying to manipulate the wire and ultimately elected to drive my trusty machine to my equally trusty mechanic. Fortunately, this involved making only one soft right turn. He tried manipulating the wire a bit. When he stepped inside to get the Torx implement, I tried once more and discovered his Viennese magic touch had loosened the wire sufficiently that I could remove it. Nonetheless, I appreciate your speedy responses to my post very much.
