Eureka 700

Gentleman,
For several weeks now I have been unable to determine the problem with my in tank fuel pump / sending unit. After replacement of this unit my fuel gauge stopped working. I troubleshot the wiring, fuel gauge, sending unit (twice).

Yesterday there was a break through- problem solved.
The culprit- brand new Volvo sending unit, purchased for $350 from my parts guy was bad. The float was not working correctly- it kept sticking at the bottom of the float cone. First time I have ever received a bad part from either Volvo or Bosch. Has this happened ever to anyone else?

MIKE
