Getting M46 to go back on the engine 200 1984

When my son did a clutch on his 81 B21F, M46, about a month ago, he first tried ti install the tranny with jacks and could not do it. So he and two friends got under there, got the jacks out of the way, lifted the tranny and just muscled it around up there until it slid into place. They made real sure that the cluch plate was lined up perfectly centered when they installed the pressure plate. It was still a pain, but it is doable. After a break, it'll probably go better for you.
