coolant leaking-from where?? 200 1979

Hello Bricksters!

I have (apart from others) a serious problem with coolant leaking under dash.
Last two weeks ago I put apart the center console and all around...Removed the carpets (found two rust holes too, don't know how long the flood lasted-long enough obviously:)) and everything. I changed the heater switch (ventil) because it seemed to be the problem. It was all purple color from antifreeze I guess.Well I used one from '86 245 (I needed to modify the copper capilare going to
the radiator inside assembly. I checked radiator while it was outside too and no leak. Yesterday I checked the floor again and it was wet again. Took the carpets off, start the car and let it on for 1/2 hour with heating to max... No water anywhere. Everything dry. This morning I checked again and again the sponge beneath gas pedal is wet...I really am confused now, the hoses seem to be all right, the radiator is OK, the switch/ventil is OK, no water is leaking when I watch but over night the coolant finds the way...How can I find the leakage? I want my compartment *dry*.
I also have what it seems to be serious leak of coolant from engine since there is a qite large puddle under the car. What is interesting is that when I park the car after a drive, there 's no more than 2 or 3 drops of coolant under it, but through the night the leak gets severe.
