Getting M46 to go back on the engine 200 1984

Good Morning!

Alright, after a good night's sleep, I thought of something right away in the morning. It seems like we just can't get the input shaft of the tranny high enough to start going into the "hole."

Would it be easier to place a jack under the crank pulley and move it up an inch or two to change the angle at which the engine and tranny meet?

Thanks for all the replies,

Smith
