check engine light on in 92 240 200 1992

Well...

If you bought your cap and wires at Target or Autozone, toss that crap in the garbage and get a proper Bosch orange cap & rotor, Bosch Copper plugs, and either Volvo or Bougicord wires. All available from FCPGroton.com for cheaper than what you wasted at Target or Autozone. 240's are remarkably reliable with the proper OE replacement ignition parts, but time and time again I see people with aftermarket parts having mysterious little gremlins like this.

You'll need to get the car somewhere with an OBD code reader to see what the computer is trying to tell you. It could be anything from a small wiring fault right on up to some kind of component needing replacement, but my first guess would be aftermarket ignition parts.

Grab all the belts, mounts and suspension bits from FCP as well.
