Air Mass Meter Replaced / Cranks But Won't Start 200

I have a 92 240. It sputtered and stalled a few nights ago. Got it towed home and had a 121 code. Fortunately, the air mass meter was still under warranty and was swapped out for free. After install, the car cranks but won't start. Now I have a 232 code. The O2 sensor was replaced about a year ago, 18,000 miles, with a Bosch unit.
Did the air mass failure trash the O2 sensor or can I take it out and clean it somehow? I pulled all four spark plugs and they had a strong gas smell. Car has 148,000 miles.
Any ideas from the experts?
