Automatic and overdrive

I appreciate all the feedback on my post below regarding problems with the automatic transmission in my '89 240.

Pardon the stupid questions, but one post referred me to the overdrive in the 700/900 series...but is this relevant to my '89 200 series? Does the 200 automatic really have an overdrive? I had a '79 245 manual tranny that had the button OD. This '89 automatic has nothing anywhere to indicate there is an overdrive...no idiot light, nothing. I just assumed it had a regular old high gear.
