Brake hoses cant be changed cos brake line/fitting too soft!!!!!!!Help 700 1990

After many failed attempts to get reman complete calipers sets to upgrade my 740 with 262 mm rotors to 287 mm rotors,(BIG BRAKE UPGRADE)
I obtained a pair of old caliper brackets from a fellow Brickster and asked my mechanic to do the upgrade, keeping the original Girling calipers and pads.
This was successfully done tonight.A big Thank you to John Sargent for supplying the larger Brackets.
As routine maintenance, unaware of any problem except soft pedal for a few years.I asked for but

my mechanic was unable to change the brake hosesx4 tonight cos" the fitting and tubing are too soft".
He says he need to order the lines from the brake master cylinder down and since only one hose is cracked on the outside and not on the inside lining,he'll change one side only if the cost is too steep.

Can any fellow members tell me what is approx cost of these lines before the caliper rubber hoses????

I remember Steve Ringlee also mentioned something along this line but cannot find anything on the archives.

Thanks
