Really bad winter starting 200 1984

I've got a manual '84 245 wagon thats giving me some mighty grief. If it sits longer than a day in cold weather, it takes about 3 hours of continually charging the battery, trying to start, killing the battery, re-charging in another vehicle, trying to start...etc (vicious circle). The engine turns over, (yes theres a full tank of fuel), but it just won't catch. I've had the car for about six months with not a problem, now this. I'm thinkingfuel pump/filter/line fouled, because once it finally starts, it's good as gold.
