1980 245 Replacement Engine 200

I was off the mark with the auto transmission, which adds up since I have standard shift 240's.

He could bolt up a B21 head to a B23 or B230F block, but who knows what kind of compression ratio this combination would produce, especially with the B230F block. The bottom end of the B230 is quite a departure from the B21 and B23 blocks - different pistons, rods, crank, and bearing arrangement.

Don Foster is offering a free B21 salvaged from an '82 so maybe that is his answer?
