Hello All:
Quite a number of years ago(1976), I sold my 544 to a state trooper/Volvo enthusiast in Pennsylvania. Not too long after I sold the car to him, he was killed in a non-Volvo related accident. The car went thru a couple of hands and last I knew, it was owned by a carpet or furniture dealer in Harrisburg.
Admittedly, I havent attended a Volvo meet in a number of years, but to the best of my knowledge, the 544 has disappeared, and never been at a Volvo meet.
The car is/was a 1963, with chassis number 373528. I bought it in Texas, prior to 1970 when I was in the Air Force. It was originally red and I had it repainted in 1969 Chevrolet Daytona Yellow. The engine was a B18, with as I remember porcelainized exhaust manifold and a pair of DCOE Webers. I had made a insert panel for the dash which used round gauges. There were radial tires with wide white port-o-walls on stock wheels and hubcaps.
Does anybody possibly have any idea of where this car might be today? Amazing how they just disappear.
Thanks for any possible leads. And its not listed on Bearman's PV Register.
