Wiring harness problem 700 1987

Okay, I got a WH for my 87 760 turbo from Barton and I got around to installing it. If any of y'all have gotten one from Barton you know he includes a packect illustrating the connectors. This packet is for my car and matches the new WH, so it is the right one. However, when I got to the TPS connector I noticed a white/black wire coming out of slot 3 on the old connector and it completly seperates from the WH. As best I can tell it leads to the front of the air box. On the new WH there is no wire on the third slot, consitent with the packet.

Has anyone delt with this before and know what I should do? I've considered pulling the wire out of the old TPS and inserting it in the new one, but I don't want to mess anything up.
