How involved is a AW70L Transmission(89) swap for earlier model?? 700

Hello All,

I have a 1989-744 GL (LH2.4) with a AW70L auto box that is failing. In the FAQ, there is mention that all models of AW70's from 82 on are essentially the same but the later ones are better. If I am to pull a trannie at the pick and pull out of a earlier model volvo (either 240/740) how easy is it to bolt it into my car?

What kinds of mods are needed as I am told that my AT has a notch for an RPM sensor that are specific to cars with LH2.4 systems(ie 1988-92).
