car still will not start. Please someone help!!!!!!!!!! 200

I still cant start the car. I took the wire harness off and replaced the broken wires. I tryed listening for the fuel pump in the tank and I can not hear it. Should it be audable enough to hear it. I disconnected the fuel return line and there is fuel circulating thru. If the fuel pump in the tank is not working, will the car not start. I also connected a noid to the injector and it doesnt light up when you crank the car. If I get a test light and grounded to the body and stick it to any side of the inj connector it lights up, but doesnt blink. What controls the injector to make it blink? Thanks
