In case anyone is interested, an auction for an AMM from a 960 (1992, but I think it fits 92-94) is due to finish on ebay in a few hours, and has no bids. Shipping is a bit expensive - but if you need one . . .

The Bosch part number on it is 280 213 012 (I called to see if it matched my 940).
