rear axle noise turning right only 200 1989

'89 245, 400,000 km, IPD sways fron and back, bilsteins all round, 185/65 R15 winter tires on wheels from old 740. I've been running this combination for 3 years with no problem so i think I can discount these. Also all new bushings 2 years ago except the big ones between axle and trailing arms.

Last couple months I've been getting a noise almost like tire rubbing on something. Only on long right turns eg highway ramp, and only at higher turning rate (g force). Noise comes from left rear side.

It's getting worse and I wonder what I should look for.

I've pulled the wheel and see no obvious signs. no axle end play, no brake disk rubbing or lumps of rust.

Any ideas out there?
