Correct speedo for non-ABS differential? 200 1991

Back in early December I posted that my son's '91 with ABS had a non-ABS rear axle installed due to ring + pinion failure, and that now he had a goofy speedo indication. With info from other BBers it was confirmed that the replacement diff indeed has the conventional, non-ABS impulse wheel, so the ABS is effectively disabled - not a problem. However, to aid in the younger's generation's "respect" for local speed limits I want to re-establish proper speedo/odo indication. Is this as simple as replacing the speedo with one for '91 or earlier, as long as it's for the AW70-equipped cars?
