headrest installation 120-130

Bilo;

Headrests are a sensible upgrade...I am very surprised that your GT did not have them as OE! I was under the impression that ALL GTs had them...was yours an early GT?

It's been awhile but I also did this retrofit using HRs from (I believe a) 140...didn't get anything but the HRs...no hardware, tubes or anything with them...

I stripped the upholstery from the seatbacks, and had clearance tubes welded onto the frame such that the HR placement seemed right, the tubes ended just under where the uphostery would be once replaced. A clearance hole was made in the uphostery for the posts, and a spacer made of rubber tubing serves to semi-permenantly locate the HRs at a good altitude. I recommend it! Sorry no pix...this project was done before E-cameras were around...

Cheers
