front end alignment 200

You can set the toe-in at home with a tape measure. Measure between the inside of the front tires, ahead of the spindles and behind the spindles (3 o'clock and 9 o'clock). The measurement difference should be around 1/16" with the front of the tires closer together than the back of the tires, (hence toe-in). Just be sure you measure from the fattest spot on the tire to the fattest spot on the oppisite tire, both front and back of the spindle (be consistent). Now, if you have loosened the top strut mounts and let them move around, the camber is off and a professional alignment is needed. Cost is around $40 and well worth it because an incorrect camber setting will kill a set of tires quickly. jp
