That bolt is likely to be a real bear. I have gotten them apart using a long extension and socket from above. Most of the time they break, or round off, or you just have to grind them off. Gets very rusty.

I never reuse that mount because I think it's a royal pain. Others here use it and there's nothing wrong with that either. I just find that most of them are gone by now, and the ones that are left are in terrible shape.

BTW the three bolts on the flange should be 16mm. New copper nuts are available for a couple bucks from FCP Groton- well worth it.
