Lubrication and another question 200

The cable/black box setup is the service reminder light trigger. About every 30k mi it shorts the two wires together which causes the light in the cluster to come on. At that time the owner's book says to take the car to the dealer for a check of the O2 sensor system, and to have the light reset.

The universal recommendation here is to disconnect the cable from the back of the cluster (back of your speedo), as its drag is a probably cause of premature odometer gear failure in the speedo head.
