Trans swap / speedo 200 1979

bout to yank the 3sp and replace with a late model OD. Any suggestions on easiest speedo fix? Old is drive gear on trans, new is sensor on diff.

The original trans is missing the drive gear for the speedo, so it doesn't work anyway, but I'd like to find the easiest fix for the swap. May have to check a few yards for some earlier tail parts to drive the cable.
