Updated to lower case

At times my dashlite arrow used to glow slightly-from brickbaord info I pulled and checked the relay-found no broken solder connections, changed out for a used one in my accumulation--basically lived w/ the occasional problem.
Recently the used on started giving a near-full-time arrow. Pulled and found two broken solder joints, re-soldered them. Lite stayed out/off.
However I 'noticed' how hot the relay gets! Can't hold it if the white plastic cover is off! My electical education gave me---heat is a by-product of high amperage................also noticed if the relay is 'hot' you can't get it to re-latch--lite go on/off-- using the shifter-side-button! Slight move the contact arm and the contact will re-latch---on the 'bare relay, that is

Almost forgot 93---240'

Anyone had this experience b-4? Can you tell me where to lqqk for a total fix?

Thanx red ryder
