760 stalls ocationally when first started, seeking advice 700 1989

Hey guys,

My 760 Turbo, has stalled when I've gone to start it up. About four times in the last 2 weeks, so I'm getting a little concerned.

It is no big problem...yet. Becauase, on the second start, it works, I may rev it a little to get more gas going into the car.

Today I changed the spark plugs.

Then turned it on....gave it some gas....then droped it back down to idle, and it stalled???? Any ideas?


How often should the fuel filter be changed? could that be the problem.

It's been colder weather here in Florida, lately...could that be it? I had some trouble in New England, with the stalling issue about 1.5 years ago, or 20,000 miles. At that time I replaced the battery, and I think thinks were a little better.

Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!
