Spare T'Stat Housing? 444-544

'63 544 B18 - Engine temps were staying on the low side so I decided to brave the cold and replace the t'stat with a brand new genuine Volvo unit. The old t'stat came out fine. The old gasket looked alarmingly tattered and the inside of the housing was fairly pitted. While snugging the housing bolts down I heard a little crack. Then I saw a not so little crack along the ear of the t'stat housing. Perhaps the aluminum was a bit brittle from the single digit temps outside.

I can get a replacement housing by end of week from my regular source, who is currently attending a funeral. The 544 is my regular ride and it would be nice to get him back on the road sooner if possible.

Does anyone have a t'stat housing for a B18 or B20 within a 100 mile radius of Martinsburg, WV for sale? I regularly drive into Tysons Corner, VA but don't mind heading east, west or north to get the 544 rolling again.

Thanks for any help,

Joe M
