Change inner tie rod ends or the whole rack? 200 1990

Hi,
I've got a 90 240 with about 160,000 miles that needs inner tie rods ends. I'm curious about whether to just replace them or to go ahead and do the whole rack. It looks like about $40 for the pair of tie rod ends or about $200 for the entire rack from FCP Groton. I've had to replace the rack on another 240 by 200k miles. So, I'm looking for opinions about this. Specifically, what kind of life should I expect from the rack and any comments about the relative difficulty of the two jobs would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Lyle
