electrical issues ect sensor 700

So i have been trying to track down a wiring fault. I have a 90 740 GLE. I am concentrating on the two engine sensors, the ECT and the other sensor right behind it, which i believe is the gauge temperature sensor.

I pulled off the connector for the gauge temperature sensor(the second sensor back) and noticed that the insulation for the connectors was totally rotted and the wires pulled out of the connector plastic.

now, my question is, can i get another plastic connector and if so which wire goes where as now they are out of the plastic and i didn't see which orientation they originally were.

hope this makes sense and someone can help...

Sean
