I agree with your point: only the chassis number is ok o use! And that's why I got mad when I saw the parts I got, since I gave them the actual chassis no...
Things are solved, by now: geting new complete 1'' rear cylinders that are OK for my setup. They pay for the extra shipping and everyone is happy!
