How to roll forward the odometer 200 1982

I did the same thing (purchased a used speedometer on ebay) and wanted to roll mileage forward. I was able to do it by using a flat head screwdriver to turn the gears that are on top of the odometer which would in turn roll the number on the odometer forward that it was connected to. I had to play around with it a little to get everything to line up just right. Everything worked fine for me but there might be a possibility this method would cause something to break.
